DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)

A diesel particulate filter is a device that captures and removes very fine carcinogenic dust particles from the exhaust of diesel engines. The particles are trapped on a porous material and once the filter is full, the particles are burned by high temperature during regeneration. The filters consist of a honeycomb ceramic structure, pickled in a mixture of precious metals.
